spanish colonial style

The Spanish Colonial era in the New World began with the encounter of Christopher Columbus in 1492 and continued until the early 19th century when war created independent countries. These works followed the historical development of styles previously established in Spain, but developed original features in different regions. The main centers were in Peru and Mexico, where there were skilled native artisans and relatively strong political organization.

Colonial Frontiers is a specialized design gallery. We are direct importers of our treasures, offering a diverse inventory. We travel to Spain, Mexico and South America where the Spanish Colonial tradition is prevalent. We have also explored and collected from many other parts of the world with Hispanic/European colonial histories such as South Africa, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia, and more.
